Application for Short Term License in San Diego

Sunny day in La Jolla, California

Hello and welcome to our new blog!

The first thing I would like to address is to update you all on the STRO applications. As you know, the City of San Diego is limiting heavily the amount of Short Term Rentals that will be allowed to get a license here in San Diego.

In order to do this, the City put together a rather complicated application process that required many moving parts in order to apply. Although this has been a rather arduous task we have made it to the end and believe all applications have been submitted and paid to The City of San Diego. Tier 2 applications were accepted immediately and Tier 3 applications must wait for the lottery draw which is slated for December 16, 2022.

Our team here at La Jolla Vacation Rentals has worked tirelessly for months now gathering all the Transient Occupancy Receipts, booking activity, parcel numbers, and Rental Unit Business Tax. Now we are in our wait-and-see stage.

I have been inundated with calls from so many people begging for us to fill out their applications, however, our loyalty is to our customers and that’s what we have spent our time on. Fingers crossed we get to keep you all and continue on to a highly successful 2023.
