Birch Aquarium

The aquarium is a part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Expect to find vast exhibits that showcase include underwater animals such as octopus, sea turtles, sharks, and much more. Special events are held throughout the year at the aquarium too such as unique lectures, conversation classes, and even private events. The Birch Aquarium is open for extended summer hours from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. The aquarium currently requires reservations for future visits and facial coverings must be worn inside.

Watch a Show at La Jolla Play House

This live theatre is the perfect spot to enjoy a live performance on a rainy day or any day for that matter. Pro tip: if there’s no one you can ask to take a photo, bring a cheap tripod for your phone and take your own photo using a ten-second timer!
